Barbara, I enjoyed your comments and your friendly voice. You sound as if you are talking to the audience quite naturally, off-the-cuff and relaxed. A fine trait to have! And I quite agreed with what you said about learning and the apprentice system. It is exactly what we do in class labs – learning by doing, in a community of colleagues, sharing the experience as well as helping one another.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and congratulations on the podcast. (what a great shot of you too!)

Barbara, I too found it very interesting how businesses overlooked the knowledge of their employees and resources as a crucial factor in their success. Too often, good people are let go so that a company can run more "efficiently" (save some money), only to find that those very same people were bearers of knowledge that can be simply taken from a book or through observation.

Hi Barbara
based on these comments I need to go back and read your podcast! The reason I'm commenting is that from Bloglines, there is a link on your page about RSS buttons. This does not appear on your blog (this happened to me once also) but just bloglines. Tell us about these buttons!

Thanks for your comments on jaspers corner, Barbara! http://jasperscorner.blogspot.com/
If only I could send Jasper to take notes! My dorkitude rating is too high - I will be there, fueled by Dayquil.
